About Us

Made by native artisans

Made By Nativos brings you handmade hammocks, hats and woven goods from native artisans in Ecuador and Mexico. Our Panama hats are woven from toquilla palm straw, our hammocks are loomed and knotted by hand, and our bags and clothing carry traditional Andean patterns. Because every piece is made by hand, no two are exactly alike.

We are a small team based in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida. We pack and ship every order ourselves with USPS tracking, and if something is not right you have 7 days from delivery to ask for a return.

Handmade by native artisans. Made to keep traditions alive.

Made By Nativos was created to support and preserve ancient native traditions as part of humanity's cultural heritage. Our products are handmade using centuries-old artisan techniques and patterns.

Our blankets are made by Native families in the highlands of Ecuador. Our Panama hats are handwoven from toquilla straw in Montecristi, Ecuador. Our Inca pattern hammocks, Inca pants, wool felt fedoras, woven bags and yoga mat bags are handmade in Otavalo, Ecuador. Our Mayan hammocks, including the spread bar styles, are woven loop by loop by artisan families in Yucatán, Mexico, where our single cotton spread bar hammock and Ocean travel hammock are also handmade.

We want to offer an alternative to the mass-produced, easily replaced things so common today. Your purchase helps these artisan traditions survive and supports the communities and ancestral lands where they began.

Because every piece is handmade, colors and patterns can vary slightly from one to the next. That is what makes each one unique.

"We have inherited the knowledge and wisdom of our ancestors. For centuries we have made our own textiles and apparel, and with these products we want to share our culture and traditions with the world."

We're delighted to share these pieces with you.
